Tom McGuire and the Brassholes!

In this week’s episode, we are joined by none other than Tom McGuire of Tom McGuire and the Brassholes! They’re a modern-soul-funk band from Glasgow, Scotland that started out busking on the mean streets of the Commonwealth Games. They’ve since crowdfunded their first album and released their first single, Ric Flair, on YouTube, Spotify and wherever amazing beasts of music can be found!

We talk to Tom about starting out busking and their move into the world of recorded media before asking him quite simply why he decided to write a song about your favorite wrestler and mine, Ric Flair. We also talk about the magic of watching live performance, the best ways to get something crowdfunded and how Tom has been constantly thwarted by the ghosts of dead musicians.
